PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), the holding entity of the State-Owned Survey Services (IDSurvey), has officially entered into a strategic partnership with the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) for the implementation of Basic Geospatial Information (IGD). The signing ceremony was held at the BIG Main Hall in Cibinong on Friday, May 16, 2025.

This collaboration falls under the Government and State-Owned Enterprises Cooperation scheme (KPBUMN), in line with the mandate of Presidential Regulation Number 11 of 2021 concerning KPBUMN for the Implementation of Basic Geospatial Information. The agreement encompasses the provision and routine updating of Indonesia’s base map over the next 25 years.

The signing was attended by the Head of BIG, Muh Aris Marfai; Deputy for IGD at BIG, Mohamad Arief Syafii; President Director of IDSurvey, Arisudono Soerono; and Director of PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), R. Benny Susanto. Also present were the leaders of other state-owned survey service enterprises, including the President Director of PT SUCOFINDO, Jobi Triananda Hasjim, and the President Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia, Sandry Pasambuna.

“This marks the first KPBUMN initiative in Indonesia that specifically engages State-Owned Enterprises in supporting the availability and accessibility of Basic Geospatial Information. Through this collaboration, IDSurvey—via PT BKI (Persero)—reaffirms its full commitment to supporting BIG in developing a resilient and sustainable national geospatial ecosystem,” stated R. Benny Susanto.

On the same occasion, Head of BIG, Muh Aris Marfai, underscored the importance of multi-sectoral cooperation in the implementation of KPBUMN. “We call on all stakeholders to support this initiative with a spirit of collaboration and innovation. KPBUMN is expected to serve as a catalyst for the growth of the national geospatial industry, foster employment opportunities, and drive an innovation-based economy. Together, let us build an inclusive and sustainable geospatial ecosystem to advance Indonesia,” he said.
