On Tuesday, 30 July 2024, PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) attended the Annual Conference of Indonesian Economic Development (ACIED) 2024, with the theme “Escaping The Middle Income Trap and Reaching Golden Indonesia 2045 : Pathways & Policy Options”, which is located at the B.J. Habibie Building at BRIN. The President Director of PT BKI (Persero), Arisudono Soerono was the speaker at the event.

"BKI is focused on facing existing challenges by improving infrastructure, compliance with international regulations, and better security and safety at sea. On the other hand, there are great opportunities in increasing human resource capacity, applying advanced technology, and expanding international trade through strategic sea routes," stated Arisudono.

"BKI has also carried out several research and developments to solve existing problems, one of which is by using 2 fuel sources on ships. Apart from that, to increase competency of personnel in the maritime sector, BKI also created BKI Academy, with the aim of creating, improving and accelerating national maritime quality," added Arisudono.
