PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) is committed to support sustainability by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Industri Baterai Indonesia (IBC) in the context of synergizing ecosystem development and implementation of the electric vehicle (EV) industry. The event took place at BKI’s Jakarta Head Office on Friday, 26 July 2024.

The attendees were BKI's Director of Institutional Relations, Andry Tanudjaja, IBC's President Director, Totok Nugroho, and IBC's Director of Institutional Relations, Reynaldi Istanto.

Andry stated that the collaboration was the first step for a closer and more strategic relationship between the two parties.

The aim of signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between PT BKI (Persero) and IBC is to support operational activities, development, and implementation of electric vehicle battery industry ecosystem, new and renewable energy, as well as lithium battery-based energy storage systems.

On this occasion, the President Director of IBC stated that "We believe in the quality of IDSurvey which has provided certification services for many years. Through this MoU, we hope that it will not only be beneficial for both parties but for sustainability and society as well, especially in reducing pollution by using electric vehicles. IDSurvey's role is very much needed in battery certification. Finally, we hope that there will be practical follow-up such as workshops," concluded Totok.
