PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) as the holding company of BUMN Survey Services or IDSurvey invites Indonesian shipping stakeholders to improve the quality of performance of Indonesian-flagged commercial vessels sailing abroad. This was said by the Main Director of IDSurvey, Arisudono Soerono, in a seminar entitled 'Port State Control (PSC) Inspection Awareness'.
"We need to realize that there will be big benefits for us if Indonesia is in a whitelist position like it is now. "Because this position will support improving the performance of national logistics and exports/imports," said Arisudono, quoted on Sunday (4/6/2023).
He believes that improving performance can make a big contribution to national economic growth, especially the maritime economy.
"For this reason, we need to maintain and improve both the safety and security performance of Indonesian-flagged ships," said Arisudono As is known, Indonesia is one of the countries that is a member of the Port State Control (PSC) organization in the Asia-Pacific area known as the Tokyo MoU. Based on the Tokyo MoU Annual Report, Indonesia has experienced an increase in the whitelist category within a period of 3 years and Indonesia has been declared in the whitelist category in the Annual Report from 2020 to 2022.
